Digital badging: a powerful tool for recognition

Digital badging recognizes achievements that may not be measured by traditional assessments. Through our WE Schools Badge Program, students receive badges to showcase their hard work and achievements, motivating teachers and students to celebrate the steps that were taken to get there. Communication and collaborative skills are powerful indicators of future success and achievement. Being able to recognize these skills helps learners visualize and conceptually see these accomplishments as achieved skills. Benefits of badging include:

  • Greater student engagement
  • Provides proof of skill mastery for college entrance and future employers
  • Incentivizes future accomplishments
